🎏Summer Fishing Festival🐟

We are thrilled to announce the very first community event for Fantasy Life in commemoration of our beta launch: The Summer Fishing Festival! This is a massive fishing tournament where any Fantasy Life user can participate, compete, and win prizes.

The Goal:

The objective of this event is to catch a specific, limited-time fish: the Summer Bass.

However, the trick is to reel in the biggest one possible! You will be competing against other players trying to do the exact same thing. At the end of the event, the player who caught the largest Summer Bass will be crowned the winner, with additional prizes awarded for 2nd and 3rd place.

How to Participate:

  1. Get the Rod: You must own the Professional Fishing Rod, which you can find at the Mainstore.
  2. Load the Bait: Obtain the special Tournament Bait (also available at the Mainstore). Rez it close to your avatar, attach your Rod, and click the Rod to access its menu. Navigate to the “Bait” submenu, add the Tournament Bait to your rod’s inventory, and make sure to select it as your active bait.
  3. Find Water: Head to any Linden water source (the realistic-looking water found at ground level in any region). Make sure you are standing very close to the edge, within one meter if possible.
  4. Start Fishing: Click the Rod to cast your line and wait for a bite!

How to Register Your Catches:

Registering your catches into the official leaderboard is incredibly simple. After you catch a fish (whether it is the Summer Bass or any other standard fish), all you have to do is rez it in-world.

The exact moment you rez the fish, three things will happen automatically:

  • Its specific size will appear in its object name.
  • The 3D model will visually scale up or down depending on how big it is.
  • Your largest recorded size will automatically register to the global leaderboard.
