⛏Gathering⛏
Gathering is relatively straightforward, but first, you need to ensure you have some gathering nodes—such as trees for wood and fruit, or ore veins for minerals.
If you don’t own any gathering nodes yet, visit the Mainstore, where you can find everything you need. As to how to get water, simply by being very close to any Linden water, using a Bowl, a Bucket or any type of small/medium size liquid container and selecting the “Fill” option in its main menu to fully fill the container. Alternatively, you can also find a Water Well at the Mainstore.
Once you have your trees or nodes, rez them anywhere you wish on your land.
Clicking on any node will open its main menu. This menu displays all the essential information about the node, including the specific tool required for gathering and the Energy cost to do so.
Once you know which tool you need, make sure you are wearing it before continuing. If you don’t have any tools, please check the Tools page.
If you have the correct tool attached and enough Energy, you can now sit on the node. This will trigger your character’s gathering animation and begin the process, displaying a countdown timer in the node’s hover text.
When the gathering process finishes, you will receive the resources the node provides, along with Experience Points (XP) based on the type of node. For example:
- Woodcutting XP for chopping trees.
- Gathering XP for picking fruit or digging clay.
- Mining XP for mining ore veins.
After a successful harvest, you will notice the node’s hover text turns red. This indicates the “recovery” or “re-growing” phase, meaning you will need to wait for a specific amount of time before it is ready to be gathered from again.
Note: Keep in mind that while the physical gathering process (sitting and waiting) is exactly the same for most nodes, the tools required will vary depending on the resource you are trying to get!
